Michellar is back with another charmer, this time a psychedelic indie tune called “Into the Moonlight”. As hinted by the title, the song is about those ethereal moonlit nights when the air is completely still and your emotional state is heightened tenfold. In such glowing nights, romance and sensuality feed off a particularly intoxicating source of energy and memories of those nights haunt for eons.

This particular moonlit night is introduced by slow, intimate guitar melodies that ease into soft rhythms perfect for slow dancing. Michellar’s emotive voice sings almost hushed, as to not scare away the sultry atmosphere building around her, and described in poetic detail what she sees and feels happening. Veiled by the shadows and only ever seen in the pale light cast by the moon, those intimate moments of romance become something where every sensation is felt with unforeseen precision.

An air of mystery surrounds the sultry vocals dreaming of kissing and dancing into the night, as if a reminder that nights like these are full of potential for the unexpected. When you step out into one of such nights, you might experience something completely new, and you might end up rethinking if magic is really just a thing of fiction.

The root of “Into the Moonlight” was born from one clear moonlit night in San Francisco and came to be as a collaboration between Michellar and Nashville-based producer and friend Michael Beckheart. The two share a love for creative freedom, which can be felt in the song’s unfazed exploration of emotions
“Into the Moonlight” will be part of Michellar’s upcoming full-length release planned in Spring 2027. Like the single, the album will be a psychedelic journey where curiosity meets introspection.
