Those emotions can really wreck everything, and the single is a dance on that thin line between spiritual balance and emotional chaos.

The carousel of emotions is brought on by warm melodies that immediately invoke passionate feelings and that glowing Spanish energy. In here, the passion is transformed into dizzying state of mind making the song’s character feeling like everything is out of control. It’s a real ride in her head, and in the near-nauseated state, it’s easy to miss out on reality. Life keeps twisting and turning all of us like the most insane thrill ride it is, and it’s up to us to not lose it to the storm of emotions blowing through our heads.
Michellar got to fully embrace her Spanish heritage on this track. In fact, once she discovered her long-time collaborator and friend Santi also has Spanish roots, they immediately found a new path to explore musically. “Carousel of Emotions” is the first result of this new wind of creativity, where the Latin rhythms and melodies have become an integral part of the song rather than a production embellishment.
For Michellar songwriting is a journey rather than a straightforward road. An emotion or observation can become a starting point, and that leads her on to a thrilling path where the final version will often be something completely unexpected. This new single was one of those instances, as Michellar got to dive deeper into her own roots, while also exploring the intense emotions life’s unexpected twists and turns throw at her.
