Yana “Reach Out”

Feeling down and helpless? There’s a new single that I feel could offer what you need. This song comes with both beautiful melodies and a strong core of solace.

Hailing from the Czech Republic, Yana is a singer-songwriter with kind of an Irish heritage you might think. Perhaps the Irish heart is what influences her sound to be as open and close to the soul. Acoustic and lively by nature, Yana’s soft singing and beautiful songwriting enhanced with transcending elements make the stories she tells really magical whilst not forgetting the earthly origins.

Her newest single takes on the topic that’s becoming more important than ever – the importance of having someone to talk to. That’s why the single is titled “Reach Out“, serving as a call to find someone to share your troubles with. The song’s guitar playing and reverb make the atmosphere feel damp as if it’s soaked with tears. That is contrasted by the soothing and caressing guitar and her voice, the latter of which feels very sad, like an empathetic person echoing the sorrow of their friend.

The song also comes full of messages that aim to offer relief and remind us of things that we often forget when faced with sad things. One of them is the following line: “It’s OK not to feel OK.” A reminder that you’re not obliged to feel 100% every day.

“Reach Out” is a beautiful song looking to help anyone who needs some of that comfort her message offers. Yana is also a really wonderful treat for anyone who loves the emotional and atmospheric side of indie-folk with wonderful instrumentation.

Don’t forget to support this project and to follow on  Facebook, Twitter, SoundCloud, YouTube, and Spotify. You can also check out her official website. If you enjoy her music and are able to provide monetary support, you might consider downloading it on Bandcamp.
