After a two-year hiatus, New Jersey-based artist Lexi Lemonade brings forth a fresh comeback single “Orion”. As the name may suggest, the comeback tune is a romance-filled love theme that transcends time and space. With the smoothest, intoxicating atmosphere and Lexi’s soft and seducing vocals, this love story takes us into space and closer to the constellation it’s titled after.

Lexi Lemonade’s music sounds pretty much exactly the way her artist name would suggest – sweet, fizzy, and highly refreshing. Now, if you also add “intoxicating”, “love for eternity” and “immense” to the mix, you’d get “Orion”. Inspired by the story of Osiris and Isis, “Orion” concentrates on the ever-living power of love and that strong connection between two lovers. Describing the other side as an angel, the single exhibits the purest distillation of what it feels like to be in love. Particularly the kind that flows both ways.
“The love story of Osiris and Isis is a prominent story in ancient Egyptian culture. Osiris, the god of the afterlife, and Isis, the goddess of magic and motherhood, were spouses. Osiris was killed by his brother Seth, who then dismembered Osiris’ body and spread it out into the Nile River. Devastated and wanting to give her lover a proper burial, Isis gathered his body parts, resurrected him, and conceived a child, Horus. The Osiris and Isis story is often revered for its themes of love, devotion, death, and resurrection, and is considered by many the greatest love story ever told.

At the time while I was writing this song I was inspired by the story of Osiris and Isis. Omitting the darker nature of the story, I wanted to create a sonic realm, something that resonated with this level of love and respect for a significant other. Almost like it was fate that led two people to meet and fall in love and that Their love would later serve a greater purpose in the cosmos as it does in the Ancient Egyptian story!”
