Kate Pending “Onyx Skies” Released December 29th.
Kate Pending is a solo artist, creating music using a combination of hardware and software plugins, complied and constructed using the Ableton DAW.
“This is actually the only drum n bass tune on the upcoming album, which is almost surprising to me, as drum n bass played such a huge roll in developing my love for electronic music. I expected I would make more of it, but the majority of the upcoming songs on the album are more orientated towards breakbeat – another love of mine but not the origin of what used to bring me to the dancefloor back in the days.”

“Breakbeat is pretty similar in style, it’s really just that the bpm is slower, but the basics of production don’t vary that much really. However, drum n bass will always hold a special place in my heart, particularly the sub genre of liquid drum n bass.
Fast but smooth vibes that just wanna make you move! The majority of the songs on the upcoming album are breakbeat, however, there’s a touch of techno and glitch in there, as well as a spoken word intro that includes the name of each of the album tracks and a downtempo outro, which incorporates the sounds of the iconic Berlin trains, the city where I currently live, that has inspired me in so many ways.
I hope that there is a feel of continuity throughout the album, despite the varying genres, brought together with the style of vocals and synths used throughout the production process. I’m excited to share this release and the upcoming release with the world and hope that there are some people that will listen and that it will resonate with them.”

“Onyx Skies is about the future journey of our species, potentially travelling into the great unknown of the universe. I’ve always found onyx a beautiful mineral, which reminds me of the deep, infinite expanse of space, and the emphasis on the letter x, is a reference to how in algebra, it is used to represent the unknown variable or quantity. The dark and beautiful unknown.”

Kreajours “Newwave” Released December 26th.
Kreajours is comprised of four talented individuals, each with a unique pseudonym. Campfire, the band leader, lends his voice and expertise to guitar and drums. London Boy, another integral member, contributes vocals, guitar, and bass. Seany Soundscapes specializes in synthesizers, while Parentheses showcases versatility with vocals, guitar, and bass.
We covered their debut single “Soloing the Heartlands” last year, now they’re back with “NEWWAVE”, a dreamy shoegazey track that pays homage to new beginnings and fresh starts.

The album was born in a world of madness. This madness runs through its very DNA but in the face of this what else is there but to dance and search for solace and good company.
“Songs like ‘Bully Boy’ and ‘Black hole information paradox’ ‘Start at the end’ and ‘Fever’ describe the human experience in an angry dystopian world that is starting to malfunction. In ‘Ho ho ho’ we have a regular Stage Door Guy preoccupation with the passing of time.”

“However never let it be said that in the face of this endless cacophony of chaos Stage Door Guy don’t know how to laugh, party and muse on the meaning of Love. (Beach party and L.O.V.E). Punk, spoken word, blues, country and western, hyperpop and even some 90s inspired banging house all feature on this album. This is very much Stage Door Guy in their Sgt Pepper phase.”

The singer having come from a spoken word background in Manchester and the guitarist from a blues background in New Orleans our music is a fusion of the two. One day of course it would be wonderful to play in Brazil.”

The song was written when Dale Ball was hungover and feeling cloudy, waking up on the sofa. The message behind most Rendered’s songs is a positive one. The title says it all really…

We put a great deal of time into making the music video and recording the track on a tight budget, round family and our jobs etc. The fact we aren’t actually football fans and filmed the music video and the whole story behind the video is about our local football team. We are a little bit mad and regularly do random things that people seem to find amusing, but we like being “different” …

“When we were filming the video on the final day. We were having a kick about for a shot and a guy was randomly riding about on his motorbike on the field. So we thought it would be good to have him sabotage the game and get him to zoom through the nets and kick the ball away before a penalty kick and it seemed to work.”

A Certain Someone is René Arbeithuber, a member of the bands Slut and Pelzig. After fifteen successful album productions with his bands and projects, René decided it was time to embark on a solo musical journey. A Certain Someone creates a unique fusion of indie shoegaze 80s dream pop. With an even more diverse personal musical history encompassing 50s rockabilly and hip-hop, he brings forth a fresh and compelling blend of sound.
“I wrote it about a girl I used to know. She had severe personal struggles, and this spread out to people around her. She blamed everyone for her unfortunate situation. Since I was somehow responsible for her and wanted to make her feel better, I also had a very hard time for a few months period. Writing this song helped me to get over this but she herself does not know anything about the song.”
