Australian electronic powerhouse Genevieve Sovereign strikes again with yet another new experimentation that feels as natural as breathing. “Random Number” sounds like nothing she’s ever done before, as the artist continues to expand her horizons in new and fun ways.

Genevieve’s been cementing herself as a force of nature within the electronic music scene, having explored genres that went from ambient to chillwave with splashes of synth and dream pop thrown in once in a while.
On “Random Number”, Genevieve teamed up with producer Michael Wheeler and described the experience of crafting this track as easy and immediate. “This was very possibly the smoothest, quickest and yet most organic track I’ve ever done. In a way, it seemed to create itself and I was just along for the ride!“, the artist herself remarks about the process.

With lyrics that delve into philosophical themes of randomness and chance, “Random Number” speaks directly about the unpredictability of life and how little control sometimes we seem to have over it. “Random Number” is a fun and shape-shifting track that thrives on spontaneity, sounding like three different songs are being clashed against each other all the time – and somehow they fit together perfectly. This latest single comes as the lead track on Genevieve’s next full length STARSEEDS WANTED: enquire within, planned for the next months and it’s already showing itself to be a very interesting and unique project with just two minutes of music being released so far.
Genevieve’s artistic growth can be felt all at once on “Random Number”. It is a highly experimental track filled with shifting melodies and quirky production choices, while still remaining a pop song at heart.
