This time, the duo offers a brand new single “Nature Odyssey” and invites the listeners to join them for a walk through the serene elf forest to show the beauty that surrounds us. Along the path through the delicate wilderness, Carpe Diem tells the truth – there is no Plan B, as there is no Planet B. We better take care of what we have got!

Hailing from Hong Kong, Carpe Diem is vocalist Ada and guitarist Keith. The two have already caressed our ears with beautiful indie sound that brings out the hidden glory in the daily life. There’s a strong dose of tranquility embedded in their music, serving as a calming resting place shielding from the bustling noisy world. In this place of rest, Carpe Diem has important messages to deliver, and they’re brought forth through poetic, truthful lyrics that weave vivid imagery.
Their most recent message comes intimes of dire need. Pretty sure many of us have already heard news of oceans hitting record high temperatures, which will be fueling a lot of issues to come. Thus, this walk into nature to remember we’re still a part of it instead of some sort of overlords is a welcome message, delivered through gentle vocals singing quite hard-hitting lyrics.
“Nature Odyssey” points out the contrasting images of clear untouched woods and the smoking lands of garbage piles caused by carelessness and greed going against the delicate balance of living world. Mother Nature nurtures us all, as the song reminds us, but our actions smother her.
In addition to the much-needed message, “Nature Odyssey” is like a window to a world of beauty where nature is unharmed and there’s magic in the air. Found sound, such as rain, thunder and birdsong, were incorporated into the song for an immersive experience. And as if it’s a message of some kind, when the song’s idea was born in the band’s meeting, there was a sudden and huge downpour of rain, the sort Hong Kong hadn’t seen in decades.
The message of “Nature Odyssey” is further broadcast by its music video, which features AI-driven imagery following the lyrical storyline. Soul-caressing imagery of forests being showered by rain are contrasted by those of forest fires, smoking factory chimneys and endless piles of garbage.
