This April, indie artist Ed Geater reveals his soft and intimate side with the release of new single titled “Love Forever Good”. The song, standing as an ode to the splendid days when he met his girlfriend, is not only a love song, but also a very chill and relaxing tune with a meditative core. Like all things beautiful, Ed Geater’s single of love is filled with immense warmth and adoration for the love he found. Those days, which he describes as “real-life fairytale”, took place in Thailand at a songwriting camp organized by Karma Studios, an awesome time that changed the artist’s life in multiple ways.
Reflecting those days, Ed Geater has put lots of tenderness in his lyrics and the way he sings shows loads of gratitude in addition to all the loveful feelings. “How do I say what words cannot convey?” he asks in the beginning as the piano-led atmosphere unravels itself to reveal the romantic warmth. Despite the admitted struggle of wording the feelings in his heart, the song still conveys everything that needs to be said with tenderness through the delicately built instrumentation and soft vocals.
Through the hazy warmth, his vocals are accompanied by angelic female vocals that belong to the newfound love and collaborator of the track, Jayce. The slow-paced echoing sound that surrounds the duet of two lovers, bridges the fleeting moments of falling in love with the strength of endless love. This is a peaceful anthem for the flame of love set to power the relationship through the thick and thin.
Ed Geater is British singer-songwriter and producer and a multi-instrumentalist, who has a desire to make wholly honest and heartfelt music. Writing “Love Forever Good” saw him depart from the purely acoustic guitar sound to include elements of electronic music as well as piano. Inspired by John Legend and early Bon Iver, as well as the production style of Billie Eilish, Ed finds a way to bring the pure and hard to describe into beautiful and highly relatable music.
