coma beach The German punk rockers are back with the brilliant new song, “I Won’t Listen”, part of their same-titled EP. A powerful Punk track about defiance against conformism and societal expectations. Out now!

Coma Beach has made an outstanding return with a gritty EP filled with chaos, pain and their unique style of obscure music we have all come to love.

The EP “I Won’t Listen” features the following four songs from their album “The Scapegoat’s Agony”, all of which have been slightly abridged for this release (mostly dispensing with some of their mood-setting intros, which are probably a more natural fit for a full-length album).

“The song acts as an opening statement that picks up the story of their unnamed antihero, inspired by the play “Waiting for Godot” by Irish playwright and novelist Samuel Beckett.“

With a slow burning intro and middle section, the title track offers a calming and almost psychedelic instrumentation that could be compared even to acts like Pink Floyd or The Velvet Underground. Lyrics express the antiheroe’s discomfort, as well as a cynical disdain for soul-crushing conformism and societal expectations.

The track suddenly picks up the pace in a more The Ramones style, bringing the energy and intensity up. Exciting, moving, and eloquent, the track turns into a more dynamic, almost ecstatic, dance where cynicism and philosophy come together in the upmost clever (and catchy) manner.
