Next week on May 17th, Blindness & Light reveal their newest piece of music and this time it’s a cover of Kristin Hersh’s song “Your Ghost”, told through a charming, emotionally driven post-punk format. The ghost, living in your mind as a carrier of fleeting memories and associated feelings, is given a vivid presence in this song, an embodiment of moments good and bad.

That presence, “Your Ghost”, is also known for appearing at a time it sees fit, and thus opens the song with the feelings of helpless longing. Serene atmosphere, chilling instrumentals and vocals transmitting emotions as clear as a day all set the scene for those memories suddenly coming back to hit you when you least expect. It’s beautiful, but also devastating. Like images of your past broadcast to you in your dreams, leaving you feeling a little torn apart by morning.

The single also marks the end of an era for this England and Wales based collective as they bid goodbye to their producer. Going forward the band is now producing their own music, and they are already very busy with lots to come very soon!
We’re working hard on the recording of the second album at the moment. This should be out at the start of 2025 on the usual digital platforms and limited edition vinyl. There’ll be a few tracks released from the forthcoming album before the release. ” All On You” will be released at the start of August …. this is a total stormer of a track.”
