Berlin’s own experimental music project, LUMP200, returns in new single “125undat”. A rather short, but pretty interesting track that continues this man’s legacy of disruptive artistic expression.

René Desalmand, the heart behind LUMP200 returns with yet another exploratory track. Described by Desalmand himself as a rather pathetic track with a very long intro, you can’t help but laugh at his own self-deprecating voice.
“125undat” comes indeed with an extended intro, inspired I assume by the long intros we can find in electronic music. Avant-garde with a hint of lofi. The sound of broken synths, menacing atmospheres and unnerving percussive hits act as the opening act for the short instrumental.

The addition of claps and a soft kick reinforce the electronic aspects of the track, without them the single would just sound like an experimental soundtrack for a sci-fi movie (nothing wrong with that). Not exactly a tune to dance to, but not a relaxing beat either. This play of ominous features mixed with sci-fi jazz melodies really make the beat sound out of this world, while at the same time it could also come from inside a rather disturbed yet interesting mind.
A cinematic instrumental mixed with a provocative beat that will definitely challenge your auditive perception.
