Vast imagery of a spiritual realm opens up as “Broken Wide Open” takes off, and it reveals lots of ruins. What was once a beautiful palace, is now shredded down into dust and rubble, and the mind finds itself in the middle of the chaos, longing for what used to be. Catherine Grace’s vocals soar up from the dusty ground and towards the heavy rain-filled clouds, emotionally singing the message out loud.
For Catherine, the devastation was caused by a harsh divorce. Life as she knew it was now gone and replaced by trauma and PTSD caused by the events. In the darkness, the artist found solace from music that had always been there for her for when things get hard, and music proved its healing power once again.
The song was born to help people out there in similar situation, where their lives are in the ruin and there seems to be no way out. Catherine Grace and her long-time musician friend Mark Dwane have created a beautiful and spiritually uplifting song that reminds of the life still ahead. Time will heal all wounds and the ruins will soon be replaced by something even more stunning. “Broken Wide Open” will help set the first stone in new foundation.
