August 9th sees the release of Frank Joshua’s newest work of art, a moody cinematic single titled “Seedy Grammar”. Coming fresh from the faceless and prolific and owing its smooth intense flavor to Frank’s knack for enigmatic storytelling, the song is here to reveal the damned progress, or lack thereof, behind the scenes of fraying political and linguistic worlds.

This story takes a slightly different route, treading the path surrounded by electronic guitar and synth driven melodies. Galloping percussion flies through the fairly uneasy feelings as baritone vocals sing of a person driven by anger and fear, and his actions led by intended blindness. There’s an air of nostalgia, a desire for something that used to be, and a search that proves to be fairly unsuccessful.

In the changed era where rules and standards have become as loose as the currently trending clothing choices, the lack of structure starts to bring forth a sense of unease. Instead of ideas rooted on strong foundation, there’s now strong emotions, aimless torchlight in the dark. This all comes into contrast with the well-structured single creating strong visuals on how these changes have affected the song’s character.

“Seedy Grammar” gets yet another meaningful layer from its music video, which includes slivers of a young pun band imperfectly lip-syncing, and scenery from the times the Berlin Wall fell.
The single follows Frank Joshua’s newest full-length release “Turn to Your Soul“, which came out July 28th. If you dare follow where else Frank will go in his explorative deep dives, make sure to follow him, especially if you love indietronica spiced with lyricism akin to greats like Pet Shop Boys, George Michael and Michael Bublé.
stream “Seedy Grammar” now and enjoy the trip beyond the frayed facade of our society. What is really there? Feels empty, but at least Frank Riggio’s sound gives a soothing presence.
