“The video was filmed by me in Madrid. It was a hand help iPhone job done in 2 takes. The floor of the basement is covered in lego pieces as my son was deep in creating a beautiful mess. I had to dance around the lego pieces which lends a kind of frantic nature to the film. The eyes being obscured in the choruses is a play on the lyrics at that point.” Hodd

“I have only played it live a few times and it always goes down really well. I think the lyrics have a power to them, with the concept of someone eavesdropping on another’s soul implying that they are in essence in the psyche of another.
That might make the song appear sinister when it is not intended as such, although it might have some sadness attached to its greater meaning as, although it represents a point in a relationship when one has the upper hand, you could also read that one can see that another does not truly love them.
In fact when it is sung live I sometimes change the lyric of the final chorus from ‘I’m just a boy who fell in love with it all’ to ‘I’m just a boy who fell in love with the fall’. Artistic license grants me permission to enjoy how it feels in the moment.”
