“Fury Of A Dying Planet” self title debut album. This British multi-instrumentalist single-handedly played every instrument on this work. The album delivers an eco-friendly modern metal sound that inspires action, evoking a desire to save the whales while fighting off hunting ships. Available now!
Doug Rimington AKA Fury of a Dying Planet, the mastermind behind this Alt Metal project and a proud citizen of London, UK, found his inspiration (or rather, his outrage) after watching the thought-provoking Netflix documentary: Seaspiracy.
He took the demos he had recorded during the 2020 lockdown, infused them with impactful eco-conscious lyrics, and crafted the initial 6 tracks with layers of prog-tinged metal and ambient melodies.
He released three singles, “Bloodied Fjords,” “Repetition to Extinction,” and “Captive,” which are now part of this 8-track collection of invigoratingly epic music. The first thing that comes to mind? Iron Maiden on steroids.
High gain guitars, immensely powerful drums, a commanding bass, and a colossal wall of sound combine to forge an atmosphere perfectly suited for any Metal enthusiast.
Fury of a Dying Planet is a powerful statement that seeks to bring environmental awareness to listeners. It delivers enough hooks to keep us entertained, and lyrics that leave a lasting impact. Two instrumental tracks are prominently featured, underlining the confident evolution of FOADP’s sound.
Some of the standout tracks include “Earth”, “Repetition To Extinction”, and the powerful closing anthem “Heroes of the Earth”, a track written by Doug Rimington to salute those who sacrifice ‘normality’ all in the name of protecting the environment and fighting for this planet that we call home.
Each song in the album delivers a compelling message, while enthralling us with electrifying guitar riffs that feel like a punch to the face. – Fury of a Dying Planet

Album credits:
- Vocals were delivered by the amazing Paul Brigstock (Blacklight Vice).
- Drums were engineered by Chris Allan (Marco Mendoza, Dan Byrne) who also mixed the album.
- Final mastering was carried out by Justin Hill (Heart of a Coward, The Five Hundred, SikTh).
Artist and friend, Bec Dennison of Bullet on a String, was also keen to join in. She designed the main logo to reflect fading life on the planet and created a trilogy of 80’s horror themed posters for the first 3 singles.
Full of eco-themed lyrics, powerful melodic metal riffs, and commanding vocals, this album stands for the planet and the brave individuals fighting to preserve it!
So, listen now!
