Florent Lelong is preparing a cosmic cinematic journey into the depths of our inner universe. “Orion”, a single of utter joy, is released as a tastemaker of what is to come, as well as to show that music needs no words to still be absolutely impactful.
In this part of the cosmic odyssey, highly uplifting melodies paint the feelings of serenity, an existence free of a lifetime of troubles. Instead, the scenic melodies dance with 4 on the floor rhythm employing some tribal elements, while a celestial sort of brass sings its line of immense, vast landscapes grown from pure happiness.
“Orion” is an instrumental track inspired by euphoric moments of life, tapping into the diverse powers of electronica to tell the story of a place full of beauty. What kind of beauty? It’s up to the listener to interpret. Maybe it’s peace of mind, self-fulfillment, or something as simple as a day free of troubles. Or maybe it would be a purely fictional realm instead – “Orion” would include anything.
The whole journey of which “Orion” is a part, is called “Constellation”, a full-length album. Both of them are Florent Lelong’s deepest forays into storytelling instrumental music yet. Instead of lyrics, Lelong makes use of intuitive and sensory relationships with sounds. Thus, the music and what is happening in it would be felt rather than only heard.
“I conceived my CONSTELLATIONS project with the idea of listener empowerment. I created a space of freedom with sounds and melodies where anyone can dream their own story. I wish this track could be the soundtrack of each listener great moment of their lives, feel inspired, stronger, confident. I’m very impressed by the impact of music in people lives and I would be moved to see what it inspire to them.”
