Created in 1986, AydrA is a revered Technical/Progressive Death Metal band from Italy, boasting extensive experience and a remarkable discography, from their groundbreaking 1996 EP, “Psycho Pain Control,” to their highly anticipated 2024 album.
Drawing inspiration from the intensity of Thrash and a burgeoning appreciation for American Death Metal, their sound firmly stands alongside legendary Metal icons such as Death, Cynic, and Atheist.

“Leave To Nowhere” is an exceptional concept album meticulously crafted with unwavering attention to detail. It powerfully showcases intense guttural vocals, exhilarating drum performances, and a masterful demonstration of their riff-writing prowess.
“Three Minutes Walk” serves as the inaugural track of the album, yet it boldly encapsulates the entire journey, leading us seamlessly into the beginning found in Deserter, track two.
The intricate guitar work and ferocious drumming create an intense atmosphere that perfectly complements the harrowing narrative. Each track serves as a chapter in this gripping saga, drawing listeners into the emotional depth of struggle and resilience.
“Black Skin And Red Sand” describes how the journey begins as you boldly traverse the desert beneath the blazing sun. “They Waste A Throne” tries to understand how can a single man decide the fate of an entire people.
“Make Slaves”, “Lost Between Two Lands”, and “You Can’t Talk To Anyone” boldly signify the shift between land, sea, and back to land, where the challenges intensify with each transition.
“Leave To Nowhere” is the eighth track of the album, an instrumental piece. It’s a moment to reflect on your journey. Where are you headed? What is it leading to? Maybe an adventure worth taking, maybe not!
“Forever Hide” is the last track in the concept but not the album, which has an unrelated bonus track. You reach solid ground, where new adventures arise in temporary detention centers (CPT). In your cramped prison, you escape but must hide; being found without a residence permit means risking deportation. Three Minutes Walk awaits, leading you to the end of this existence. Ultimately, this is the meaning of Leave to Nowhere.
