This November, Karina Kampe dives into the memories of her past relationships and releases a new song titled “There’s a Page Torn Out of a Book”. This introspective story goes back to memories of what was and what can no longer be relived, thinking about the people no longer part of her life. And thus, those pages are no longer in the book of her current life, but they remain cherished forever.

Memories now distant are revisited in a softly flowing acoustic atmosphere filled with nostalgia and longing. A book of life with some of its pages missing lies in the center of the stage, but what is now missing is not forgotten. Karina Kampe’s emotional vocals walk through the bittersweet lines written on the missing pages, remembering a person that was once so dear and close to her.
Recorded live in East Sussex and co-written with British singer-songwriter Danielle Banks, the song bridges the authenticity of live acoustic with evocative indie folk sound, making for an impactful personal ballad of a person, who has loved and lost. And though it still hurts that the chapter is torn out now, the song speaks of letting go and healing.
