This month sees a debut album titled “Hey Darlin’” coming from indie pop duo OKKADY, celebrating love and its driving power that gets people through thick and thin together. Dressed in summery vibrant pop melodies coupled with captivating vocals, “Hey Darlin’” expresses the ups and downs of love through dreamy upbeat music.
Love, quite possibly the largest emotion known to us, is so vast that it’s very difficult to put it all into music. OKKADY tackle a smaller part of the whole thing dedicated to partnership, a romantic relationship between two lovers. And it’s not just rose petals, there are also thorns, and both of them are featured on the duo’s debut, with soft satin petals for loving feelings, and thorns representing inner turmoils, worries and misunderstandings.

As a final driving touch that this is an album about two loving people, is the fact that there are two vocals featured on all songs, sometimes taking turns and sometimes singing together. Even if there are problems that need to be faced, the two vocals will join and work through it together, just like in a well-functioning relationship.
