On January 10th, nyxotype is inviting everyone to come and embark on a mesmerizing journey into the jungle to follow the path of the ancient python Kaa. The single, named after the snake, is a spellbinding hymn of growth, change and ever-growing amounts of wisdom.
The mystery and ancient wisdom of Kaa is represented by the single through the use of subtle mind-altering melody patterns and constantly evolving drums. The resulting eerie soundscape becomes home of seductive whispering vocals speaking glimpses of wisdom spoken by the huge, ethereal-voiced snake.
The artist took time to find and record a beautiful flowing river sound, which became the backing track to the single, painting a visual of the snake’s equally enchanting, lush surroundings and making the hypnotic skills even more powerful.
Hailing from Germany, nyxotype is a songwriter-producer keen to explore musical realms in great depth and feels at home creating haunting realms, where danger and allure are married. Kaa from Kipling’s “Jungle Book” suits perfectly into the musician’s evocative sound, and there’s space for more.
