This month saw the release of a new track from Del’Noire aka Matyascorvinus, a healing journey titled “Tyler Down”. Inspired by a character with the same name from 13 Reasons Why, the tune takes the shape of recovery from harrowing experiences and finally finding the path forward in life.
Soft and subtle melodies introduce the story’s character, timid and restrained from years of physical and mental abuse. However, throughout the progression of “Tyler Down”, the inner warmth keeps glowing and the person raises their head to look forward in life first time in what feels like forever. The abuse is left into past and although its effects will still linger, there will no longer be more pain stacked on top of the burden.
And thus, the single has a swaying soulful rhythm, along with the piano chords speaking of newfound freedom after escaping from the darkness. Despite living for so long believing that people are inherently mean-spirited and lacking all empathy, Tyler Down found new friends and a brighter future ahead, one with people, who accept him as he is.
Tyler Down is all about emotions. It’s about trauma and recovery, inspired by Netflix series 13 Reasons Why. More precisely, by character Tyler Downe. A severely bullied and physically abused young boy. What Tyler experienced in the series was sort of a wake-up call to me. Eventhough the character is fictional, similar things happen (way too often) in the real world. Del’Noire
Tyler Down” is the first song of the year for Del’Noire, and the first of the string of 12 singles to be dropped this year. DIY is the driving force of the project, and Matyascorvinus has been working hard on improving his production and mastering skills while recording new music. If there is a will, there is a way, and Del’Noire’s sound shimmers, not because of high-end tools, but the artist’s mastery in making things work just right!
