A heartbreak turned into a danceable affair – “Living Like This” is a song that dances through pain and does so to the summery-sounding afrobeat surrounded by a flowing cocktail of house-influenced melodies. The lyrics, which were written by YayRaven, were given an emotive voice by an anonymous British singer. They describe the shattered state of the heart with rather burning accuracy.
The melancholic atmosphere and a flair of reminiscence to the contemplating vocals were added by ANAS. The original recording was lost in the library of raw material for several years, until YayRaven rediscovered the demo by chance and gave it a new life.
The enigmatic producer-songwriter YayRaven is happiest in the studio writing new music. In fact, when life throws curveballs, writing music is what helps to regain the pace and mental peace. During the creative process, YayRaven finds themself in an alternate world full of fun and laughter, and their favourite genre is house. YayRaven plans to keep exploring different genres of music with “Living Like This” and soon we willbe able to hear the original version of this track.
