Late last year, Matya released a charming pop single “Night Light”. This February, a music video is added to the song to complete the audiovisual story of a street performer dancing out in the streets of Paris. Nighttime is her favourite time of the day, and no matter who is or isn’t watching, the desire to create flows like a ceaseless river.
“Night Light” is a love letter to creative passion, an artist’s creative force that gets her out of bed in the morning and keeps her always tuned to new inspirations. This passion is present in springy beat and airy vocals as well as the effortlessly coming dance moves. The stage is welcoming.
When it comes to audience, however, it’s not necessarily the source of an artist’s surge of creativity. Thus, “Night Light” dances under moonlight, weightless and joyous, and while moving along the streets like a passing ray of happiness, the lack of audience is not something to care about. The stage is anywhere, anytime. The creativity urges to dance and express herself right now and she is free to do so.
The video illustrates those same points – under the enthralling lights shed by streetlights, billboards and the moon, she conquers the empty Parisian streets. For a street performer any street, roadway and park is an open stage, and the passing person is lucky to be the witness of an artist in her creative vein.

Her hypnotizing blend of music includes the charm of pop, a touch of lo-fi, and the energy of rock, among others. No specific genre takes the lead – instead of categorizing anything, Matya invites the new free-thinking listeners to join the ride with her.
