Steve Young is the leader of Steve Young and The Real Time Players. Born in the Isle of Wight, he is a guitarist, songwriter, music teacher, corporate entertainer and a band coach!
Since 2007, he has been thriving in the music industry and leaving his mark as he goes. Some of his standout achievements are:
- Performing with Darren Hayes (Savage Garden) 2007-2012 and co-writing & recording guitar on his 2012 album ‘Secret Codes & Battleships’
- Working with West End Theatre Star – Ramin Karlimloo, forming a project called ‘Broadway to Bluegrass’ which toured in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada & South Korea.
- In 1996 he signed a record deal with ZTT/Warner with the band ‘Rehab’ going on to become a TV session guitarist for the likes of Lionel Richie, Peter Andre, Dane Bowers & Delta Goodrem.
Since 2024, Young has written and released three albums; Troubadour, A Little North Of Nowhere, Is Anyone Listening; and also a successful stream of single releases.
Now, the band prepares for the release of their brand new album ‘Famous For A Day’. Inspired by Young’s appearance on a global news story as the first person in the world to receive a revolutionary new mRNA Cancer Vaccine. He even had a meeting with King Charles III!
“Come Around” truly showcases the band’s experience with a well-polished sound and flawless execution. It is very well written and comes with a modernized late 60s Rock & Roll sound that’s delightful as it is refreshing!
