English indie rock quintet Fragile Creatures is getting ready for the release of their new album Play Both Sides, their third full-length that features singles like “Grandaddy” and “Bad Smell”. On their new album Fragile Creatures are shown to be really flexing those melodic muscles, leaning heavily into their britpop influences with the maturity and elegance that can only come from being aware of your own artistic growth.

“We fuse a lot of disparate influences together, from grunge to 60s pop to Britpop, but like to think the eclectic ideas become harmonious through our playing”, the band told us regarding their process. On Play Both Sides we can see how those inspirations flow together seamlessly, crafting compelling narratives that were mostly written during the 2020-2021 pandemic years. Their lyrics deal with such themes of uncertainty regarding the future, especially as an independent artist struggling to find their audience.
