The newest offering from Glass Rumours, an electronic rock single titled “Ray Gun”, comes at A time when AI seems to get integrated into everything. The artist looks past the useless AI support and countless copyright ISSUES AND looks directly at the relationship between AI and human. Specifically, can a corrupting AI code bend the human on its knees and do its bidding?
The exploratory story of humans overruled by AI is embedded in a dark, post-apocalyptic atmosphere. When the world is no longer what we used to know it as. We cause our fall, and this is the result.
Powerful electronic guitars playing minor riffs with the intensity belonging in a violent survival game, the immediacy of horrors ahead are made obvious. Glass Rumours’ strong vocals tell the story of becoming the pawn of AI through our need for connection with incredible amount of tension. All emotion that’s now gone from the pawn’s mind that’s now no longer his, is now present in the single and it’s all the fear, disturbance, horror and despair, that this is now reality.

“Ray Gun” is the soundtrack of living inside the kill or get killed game. It’s every bit as haunting as the prospect of being an unwilling killer, and perhaps the creation of machines that think for themselves is not a good idea after all. We still have time to think about it.
Hailing from UK, Glass Rumours is a duo creating imaginative music and visual content, and this year they have become supercharged. They’re set to release a rapid-fire string of art, and “Ray Gun” is the second installment from their waterfall release. With the intention to break through the algorithms and find a proper human connection, Glass Rumours is set to build new bridges, so stay tuned!
