Hidden illness, hidden demons, but visible terror. HolLow Logick emerges to tell a story of living with the aforementioned troubles in debut single titled “Mental Illness”. It’s not a clean or polished story though – the origin is one of many sleepless nights trapped in the terror of uncontrollable racing thoughts, and the single embodies the begging scream for all this to end from the battered-up soul underneath the torment.

Coming from the dark and facing the same dark realm with poignant piano notes playing a slow melody of despair, “Mental Illness” sets a scene, where the chaos and turmoil is not just a one-night bad dream, but a recurrent “normal” state of life. Pills on the bedside table being that straw to pull you through the days. No such thing as restful sleep. It’s just you and the chaos inside you, and no-one outside is able to help.
I woke up one day and couldn’t shake the voices. Not metaphorical ones – actual voices in the ceiling fan, in the walls, telling me shit that made my skin crawl. Pills on the dresser weren’t working, therapy felt like a joke, and I was three days deep into insomnia that had me questioning what was real and what was my brain eating itself alive.” Hollow Logick
From that darkness tinted with vinyl crackle and foggy echo, a conscious string of raw feelings burst in fast verses, describing the night trapped in the same room with demons, unhelpful meds, and ever-so-burning trauma from the past. Riddled with intrusive thoughts, paranoia, and no hope for things to get better, the song shows a dark, raw, and intense glimpse of living with mental illness, everything it takes from you, and the panic attacks it gives in return.
Solo artist Hollow Logick wrote and produced the single himself with the aim to show the true nature of mental disorders and what they can cause. The artist debuts on 3NIGMA BRED MUSIC, a collective that creates a fertile, safe place for artists to express their true selves.
