Sabrina Nejmah, a new voice in the realm of indie pop, has just revealed her second single “Don’t You Worry”. Released in times of uncertainty where things shift quickly and unexpectedly in present times, the song builds up courage and confidence to not only handle the current changes, but also to look towards the future together as a couple surviving all odds.

Warm fuzziness fills the atmosphere as the song’s beginning is announced by saxophone melodies played by Edgar Herzog on his Selmer Mark VI tenor. Its mood is clearly and steadfast on the topic of love, but it’s not a reminiscent type of story. Sabrina’s vocals, shimmering with youth, explores the present and the future of a relationship through the theme of a space voyage. On board are just the two of them, two people in a committed relationship taking turns as the spaceship moves onwards.

Naturally, worry might settle in especially in times as uncertain as they are currently. The story reflects that notion, as it’s told through the eyes of one partner checking all vital signs and thinking with quiet worry about the destination still far ahead. Those unsettled thoughts, however, are hushed by the caressing words from the other side, and the future even in its uncertainty, will be witnessed together as a loving team.

First-time listeners should expect an optimistic song with lots of good vibes”

Sabrina Nejmah wrote the song together with her father, Norman Astor. When they wrote the lyrics, they had in mind the early moments in the morning when you are the first one awake. In these moments of undisturbed sobriety, one can reflect on the situation, focus on her/his own feelings, and make plans for the near future. The house feels quiet and empty, and so it relates to being alone on a spaceship.

While this story takes place in space on an actively moving rocketship, relationships don’t need to leave Earth’s atmosphere to feel like a whole journey and a half. A lot can happen in a short time, and it takes a team of steadiness and care to successfully maneuver such times. For lovers looking into building their path to a common future, “Don’t You Worry” is a soft, comforting single that reminds what’s truly important.

Sabrina Nejmah hails from Hamburg, Germany, where the fresh-faced artist spends every free moment creating music with support from her father. So far, Sabrina has released two beautifully crafted singles, and the father-daughter team has a lot more in the vault waiting for their time!
