Liz Nash drops a whimsical single “Little Box House” for all curious minds and shiny eyes

Floridan singer-songwriter Liz Nash has just released her newest song “Little Box House”, a quirky fantasy-driven song born from an attentive mind. The box house in this song is nothing else, but the artist’s mailbox, and its inhabitant behaves exactly like any average human in their house. Welcome to the eccentric yet observant realm of Liz Nash!

The single, acoustic by nature, paints a vivid image of one rainy afternoon, where warmth intertwines with the fresh air and the sound of falling raindrops. In this weather, a journey to the mailbox reveals that the box is now occupied, and its new resident is peeking out from its home, light reflecting from its eyes. It’s a frog, who has found a perfect home in the shape of a mailbox.

While claves and rain shakers recreate the dense rain, the lyrics of “Little Box House” likens the frog’s presence to that of humans and their more or less boxy homes. Much like the frog, we all cozy up in our homes when the storm hits, as all there is to do is wait it out. This poignant reflection shows that we’re not any different from any other creature, and in the eyes of a storm we’re all the same, dwellers in their shelter getting comfy while the rain rages on.

“Little Box House” is the newest addition to the artist’s ongoing project of slice of life songs, “Florida Songs”. Inspired by little happenings and encounters from her everyday life, the resulting songs bring attention to the beauty of all things usually left unnoticed by a hurrying, preoccupied mind.

Liz is a rising musician, once a 5-year-old completely mesmerized by tales sung by a local folk singer and now a fully-fledged artist creating captivating stories of her own. To bring further magic to her music, Liz often works with skilled musicians and instrumentalists, and for the froggy tale, Paul Gonzalez provided the percussion along with rainy bits, and Oskar Cartaya played bass. Currently, Liz is also gearing up to play some shows in Central Florida – follow her to learn more about when and where!
