Colorado-based electronic music artist Radical Man has found himself a home inside a world, where rhythms give shape to everything. That tension walking the fine line between stability and destruction is explored in detail in the new single “Power Systems”, where changing patters of synths and percussion build up a constantly changing realm, a system fully powered by musical experiments.

But first, something stable is needed to start working on it. A repetitive warm-sounding synth forms that foundation of stability along with a basic rhythm, building a solid foundation on which new bits of of forms take place. What at first simply appeared as an addition, soon replaced the synth melody, only to get replaced by something completely different itself.
During those swaps, the foundation changes shape and gains a lively atmosphere, much like an abandoned human-made structure that is now fully embraced by nature and abandoned no more. There’s no such thing as basic anymore, as layered melodies flutter in unison like the million critters living inside that foundation, now their home.
This evolving tune of change offers the first glimpse into the musical world of Radical Man, who is very interested in exploring how the tension of rhythm modifies the created structure. There’s space for well-controlled mutations, chaos within limitations, and evolution, which can easily go both ways as it likes. And the result is something really nice to listen to for those who love rhythmic interplay and electronica, which isn’t built around a single moment.
