Nudnik, an alt-rock artist from Las Vegas, has just published a full-length album “Under The Underground”, a record full of life and deep introspection. Among its explorative themes on identity and the meaning of life, one song stands as a solemn statement of love extending from far beyond. This is “Love Is Eternal”, a tale of love that surpasses all, written as a tender love song for the one left behind.
One lifetime has been encapsulated into the soft guitar strums and slow-paced beat suitable for a loveful slow-dance. Nudnik’s deep, deeply moving voice recollects moments from the past, when everything was still new, exciting, and uncertain. Through poetic lyrics, the sweet memories of love’s foundation still prevail, crystal clear as ever, long after the loved one’s departure. It’s bittersweet. The song was written in memory of NUDNIK’s father, who passed away last summer and left a void in the family. As the artist worked on funeral arrangements, he found out that his parents would be reunited in death under a shared headstone. “Love is eternal”, the song’s title, is engraved onto the headstone, a statement of love’s true power.
The song is accompanied by a music video, which features family memories captured onto film, with emphasis on the surviving wife. A life of beautiful moments and radiant smiles, now the most cherished memories from the late husband’s point of view.
NUDNIK keeps climbing in the alt-rock scene as he builds his signature sound, where deeply personal thoughts find a place to resonate. Drawing on influences from the greats like Jane’s Addiction, David Bowie, and The National, and on themes of life as it presents itself, Nudnik creates a delicate, captivating foundation for the emotions that shape our lives.
