“Yesterday Blurs”, according to the artist himself, is a song that thrives on contradiction. It’s a self-reflective track that masterfully explores themes of memory and resentment, as well as psychological fragmentation and self-preservation. On this song, Travis sounds incredibly raw and authentic as the track unfolds into deeply melodic roads, a little rough around the edges, giving an adventurous sense of buoyancy and spontaneity.
tcr! does a remarkable job as a fully indie artist, doing all of the technical side – writing, recording, production, and mixing, as well as playing every instrument by himself. “Yesterday Blurs” stands at the centrefold of Dear Rabbits emotionally and sonically, finding a perfect balance between attitude and anxiety. The track overflows with a serene heaviness reminiscent of stoner rock, allowing Travis to swirl in magnetic, powerful ways.

Even though it’s only four tracks song, there is no shortage of good music on Dear Rabbits. It’s an impressive body of work that highlights Travis’s unrelenting talent with laser-focus determination, and all of that is what fills “Yesterday Blurs” to the brim. The artist shines amongst the lo-fi setting with un unwavering sense of personality and artistic vision, further establishing himself as one of the most intriguing independent acts of today’s alternative rock scene.
