EGGER, a visionary electronic music producer hailing from Austria, has just finished preparing his newest single “Get Up”. The strong-minded song, combining 80s aesthetic with a futuristic voice, is the newest in EGGER’s explorations in the realm of modular synthesis, where human intent and machine code meet at the front of new possibilities. In this one, the intent is a mantra of motivation to keep moving forward.

Right from the beginning, “Get Up” shows its core being the meeting point between machines and spirituality. The machines, present in persistent percussion as well as that slightly ominous bassline reminiscent of electric noises in transformers, set the stage for charged determination. The spirituality flies by with ethereal voices, before concentrating in the vocal sample giving the track its name, a pulsing signal to motivate everyone that hears the sound.
A surging, pulsing energy for change sets in the neo futuristic sound between synth jabs and high-pitched notes giving a visual of high-speed travel. “Get Up” basically takes the sonic shape of a runway, while the voice’s repeating message becomes a guide to the destination. As the song gathers energy throughout its duration, the buildup leads to takeoff with final pulse of signal echoing “Shout to the top”.

EGGER, ran by Austrian musician Wolfgang Egger, is an experimental electronic music project with a strong emphasis on intellectual depth and sonic explorations. Each release, born from the core of minimalism and dystopian visuals, ventures into captivating electronic realms, where the themes make their appearance much like a signal reaching the receiver. It’s a healthy dose of eery and hypnotic, all in electronic music carrying the imprint and social commentary by its creator.
