“The actual creation of the track was a sudden breakthrough. Right around that time, I was prescribed medication for my ADHD, and I could finally finish the things I started. I sat down at my synth and wrote the entire rest of the track and lyrics in like 20 minutes.” sammy

The song is one of pink punk‘s most accessible sounds, built around electronic beats and fearless lyricism. sammy isn’t afraid to really let their feelings be known to the world, making the track the ultimate love song that doesn’t hold back in anything. “While the writing happened in a flash, the actual production was a long journey. It took me years of trial and error to teach myself how to properly mix and master the track inside Ableton. Now, I’m finally ready to push “ur special” out into the world. My biggest goal with this release is to pass that feeling along, I want everyone else who listens to hear from someone that they are special, too.”
