The Swedish Dream Pop duo is back with a new electronic track that shines with its intensity and profound lyrics. “Move On” is an explosion of drum beats and euphoric sensations.
It is amazing to see how artists have grown since I first started writing reviews about them. The Connecting Dots was one of the first bands that I ever wrote about here on Less Than 1000 back in 2021. Fast forward to today, the duo is back with a lot of new things to say!
After the release of their debut album “Oblivious Beat“, The Connecting Dots have been accumulating waves of success across the globe, being very well received in places like Canada, USA, and France. Now, it’s time for a new track of them to arise and pick up with the dreamy vibes baby!
“Move On” is an upbeat electronica-infused track that hits fast and steady with a tight drum beat and layers of synths, guitars, and bass. As always, the vocals captivate with their new wave spirit and the 80s/Synth Wave vibe delivers a killer groove.
”Move On” is one of those songs that just came out of the blue. The lyrics were very quickly written; it’s basically a listing of the first things that came to mind going through the whereabouts in life, the beauty, the sadness, the inevitable and the unavoidable, the ups and downs… And it is about the importance of not getting stuck in old stuff, always looking forward…” – TCD
Once again, The Connecting Dots are proving to be one of the most interesting acts of recent years. Their creativity is only paralleled with their sound, and who knows what will come next from this artistic pair, as rumour is that album No. 2 is on its way, with “Move On” serving as an appetiser!
The track also comes with a lyric/music video that serves an almost psychedelic purpose of portraying the visual effects of the track. Hypnotizing and mesmerizing, the video has as much power as the song itself!
Their second album will be released in the autumn, and it is said that it will differ from its predecessor (an entity with similar songs and tempo) as it will be a collection of different moods and temperaments!
