Cris Cap makes us fall in love and say yes in his brand-new single. Collaborating with vocalist Junior, “Say Yes” brings all the magic and roller-coaster of emotions of love and relationships in a funky pop-soul single you don’t wanna miss.
Attention to all my R&B lovers, today we have a special treat for you. All the way from Duesseldorf, Germany, Cris Cap is a composer and pianist who specializes in R&B, Jazz infused Pop and Soulful sounds. The funky energy he gives to his tracks is something to look out for, it’ll have you dancing in no time!
Inspired and influenced by many talented singers and acts such as Al Green, Chaka Khan, and Steely Dan over to Jordan Rakei, Tom Misch, and Vulfpeck, Cris Cap music is groovy, uplifting, and easy to listen to.
“We have been playing parties and celebrating with people in clubs and on beaches all over Europe with soul, funk, and RnB tunes. Finally, I felt it was time to do my own songs and invite great musicians from all over the world to join me.” – Cris Cap
In “Say Yes”, Cris set up to convey his feelings of falling in love, and also about deciding whether or not to go all-in into a life-changing experience. Should we take the chance or let it go? Will we succeed, or will we fail? Such questions can be haunting, but in the end, Cris decided that the way to go was to say yes.
“Eventually, I managed to decide on a whole new life and set out on a new path. I said YES – and that was the right thing to do! And this is what the lyrics of SAY YES are about.” – Cris
With a funky, old-school groove, the track quickly opens up with a Motown vibe using a selection of horns, modern and vintage synths, and the irreplaceable sound of tight drums and chunky bass that’ll make you move all night long!
The song comes also with a very interesting music video, where two astronauts fall in love in the uncharted mountains of a deserted planet. Pretty well done! So waste no time and hit that play button!
The instrumental arrangement was recorded at Cris’ Duesseldorf studio. The vocals of “Say Yes” were recorded in L.A., and the song was mastered by Andres Mayo in Buenos Aires.
