The British, Indie-Rock band The Trusted is finally back with a brand-new single that exudes good vibes, energy, and youthful vitality. “Millennium” is a track that dwells on the confusion of growing up in the early 21st Century amongst all the digital noise and the social media content overflow. The world keeps rapidly changing and despite the quarantine it still feels like it isn’t slowing down. Thousands of content pieces are posted every day, wanna-be gurus keep flooding our screens, and it has become more and more difficult to switch off and escape the modern world.
“Millennium” tackles this issue with a vibrant Indie-Rock track making use of the subtle nuances of electronic music. Semi-fast paced, the track brings some classic vibes from the 2000’s with slapping drums, ethereal synths, clean picked guitars and a powerful bass. Vocals are soft, melodic, pop-heavy, inviting us to remain honest with ourselves and to not lose our hearts in this new millennium.
There is, in fact, too much to do and too much to see, but this single is one of those one-in-a-million pieces of content that actually gives something to the listener. Even if you’re not a Pop enthusiast, the construction of the entire track leaves you with good dose of positive energy and a reminder that there’s more to the world that just screens.
