Cities in Dust – “The Other Son”

Like a spaceship soaring through space, this single takes us on a Psychedelic Pop extravaganza filled with spatial synths and three-dimensional vocals. “The Other Son” is an eclectic mix of hip-hop, rock and electronica casually mixed together in a nonchalant fashion.

Hi everybody! Today we have a super dope new single brought to us by the Reading-based Rock band Cities in Dust! After their latest release Vanishing Anarchist, the UK group keeps delighting us with their vibrant energy and Pop textures.

Cities in Dust knows how to mix genres with style and grace. Their hypnotic rhythms and expanding atmospheres propel us into a fantastic disco vibe while transcending vocals keep us in an ecstatic trance!

“The Other Son” captures the magnificence of psychedelia while adding sublime and crisp Pop textures. The up-beat single invites us to dance away the Post-Brexit era and release ourselves from negativity and self-limitation…

People have compared Cities In Dust with Death In Vegas and Ride with a decent amount of accuracy, but the unique style of the quartet keeps amazing each step of the way thanks to their versatility and humanity behind their music. So relish yourselves in this outer-space-vibed, funky psychedelia!!

Playlisted on BBC Music Introducing, they have played gigs with the likes of Idles, Rozi Plain and Willie J Healey, and supported Steve Mason, Dodgy and Jesus Jones on their tours. “The Other Son” was recorded, mixed and mastered at Whitehouse Studios in Reading.
