What’s going on guys, it’s your boy, MadZen, and today we have an outstanding, fresh new track for y’all that will stick with you throughout the day. After writing about Lonnieclaire, we have yet another NYC musicians that promise a lot with their fresh Pop sound and charisma. So, welcome back and let’s get to it!
The UNCRTN (Uncertain) began as a group of friends jamming during their formative years in college, after a while they turned into legitimate band bolstered by energetic and captivating live performances. Sonia Rose – Vocals/Keys, Tyler Magrone – Bass Guitar, and Chris LoMango – Drums, have great chemistry and a common desire to create a new modern sound that tackles topics from growth and relationships, to mental health and self-awareness. Awesome!
“Forget About Me” is a great track. It sounds professional, and it is very well written and produced. As mentioned above, is about wanting to get out of a relationship / situation that no longer serves you. Lyrics are pretty clear, expressing the desire to walk away from the lies and the toxicity. As shown in the music video, directed by Christian Lawrence (Dance Gavin Dance, Rivals, Nothingmore) the bandmates of The UNCRTN have become jaded by a repetitive and exhausting constant partying.
“It’s basically a song about getting away from stuff that brings you down and tries to change who you are as a person. A reflective moment in life when you realize you have stopped connecting with the group of people/friends you have grown up with. That you want no part of the same ideals, thoughts or viewpoints that people close to you have. So you just have to get away from all that toxicity, whether it’s physically or metaphorically.” – The UNCRTN.

The song explodes unexpectedly with a powerful guitar chord. Bass and drums have a close-knit relationship, and Sonia’s voice is simply fantastic. Spot on! Without a doubt these guys will soon become the next household name out of the Big Apple. An excellent, feisty delivery that will have you singing along! We will most definitely not forget this track.
