You’ve never heard a mix of Drum & Bass with Rock like this before. This album is a wonderful, psychedelic, trip-hop infused experience. Tasty beats, big fat synths, and purely ironic lyrics. ¡OUT NOW!
My friends! I am super excited about this album as it is crazy as fuck! A very interesting mix of genres and influences that will blow your mind. It’s your captain MadZen speaking and today we have for you Lewca and S.O.A.P.’s brand new album! First of all, I hope you’re all well, happy, and thriving in this new day. Now, onto the album!

Ok guys, so you’ve probably heard about Lewca before as we had him featured in the blog three different times last year. If you don’t, he is a Brixton-born musician currently based in Paris. His top influences range from class A drugs to expensive rum, and also The Clash, Ian Dury, LCD Soundsystem, Bob Dylan, Eminem, Tom Waits, & whoever is making decent music…
“Friday Night Rockstar” is Lewca’s brand-new album made with long time collaborator S.O.A.P, a DJ and beatmaker from Paris who has produced dozens of titles for artists, especially Taiwan MC. Both Lewca and S.O.A.P had a hard time thanks to Omicron, and they decided to spend their time creating a full-length album about time passing, personal doubts and demons, abuse and dreams that will never come true. Don’t look so sad, the album is actually super fun!
With tracks like album title “Friday Night Rockstar”(due out Friday September 23rd), “Harmony Korine”, and “A Million Things”, the duo present a fantastic performance of 80’s and 90’s inspired tunes, all with a charisma that puts a smile in the listener. The actually seem to me like Gorillaz’ weird cousin. Weird in a good way!
The album has a lot of different textures and colors, as well as deep drum & bass beats and witty bars. Tracks like “Everyday Struggle” actually deliver a heavy Rock N Roll dose with a nostalgic vibe and even harmonica melodies. Chants that we can relate to are present all along the way.
We can also find some more sensitive tracks like “Forget My Name”, with a beautiful instrumentation of winds and heavy R&B vocals. One of my favorites! It’s got emotive guitar solos and everything! The beat of “Incredible” is, well, I bet you can guess it.
All of this and so much more will be available in Lewca and S.O.A.P’s new album. I didn’t even get to the Country bits. But “Friday Night Rockstar” is as good as its title, and you know we don’t play! So go ahead and

Yes, I know, I saw it, we’re huge fans of his work, we’ve been working together since last year, we covered the EPs, Walking The Hedgehog and Geezer Pop and the single I’m Alright, he’s the real deal.
