Brought to us by the American Rock outfit Split Persona, this track shines a light over the darkness with its uplifting melodies and youthful charm. Let’s get to it!
Taking influence from bands like Mammoth WVH, Foo Fighters, and Turnstile, Split Persona is sure to make an impact this year starting with “Do It Again”.
Split Persona is a band from Reno, Nevada that presents a non-genre-specific sound. Proof of it is their first single release of the year, one that mixes a lot of influences into a single track. The band has been putting together music since 2020, and after grinding through their local Reno music scene and clearing ground in other major US cities such as Los Angeles and San Francisco in 2022, they are now ready to step it up a notch.
I would say “Do It Again” is a mix between Indie Rock and Pop-Punk. Quirky & phasey guitars deliver the melody, while the tight bass and drums express the jumpy beat. A track that tells the story of two people meeting at a concert and having a sort of “fling”, but never seeing each other again keeping each other deep in mind.
With a well-polished sound and a spot-on mix, “Do It Again” exceeds with a sonic soundscape genuinely pleasing to the ear. Without a doubt a Rock & Roll anthem, one that sure will ignite the spirits of any Rock-loving crowd. So go ahead, and
