Jade Moss shining so bright “Don’t Come Running”

Jade Moss is definitely something unique in the indie pop sphere, and God knows we need more of them. The lovely London-based singer and songwriter return with “Don’t Come Running” set to be released on February 24th, her latest single and first release since 2021, and brings a brand new style in production that feels even more exciting than her past work. And it’s so good!

With a neo-vintage style in both looks and vocals, Jade sounds like the perfect cross between Paloma Faith and Kate Bush we never knew we needed. “Don’t Come Running” shows us Jade experimenting a little bit outside her usual soulful-inspired sound, adding new things and shining ever so bright. The track features her trademark fiery and passionate vocals that seem to dance around the synths and horns as she sings about a love lost.

She’s singing about a relationship that’s ended, but it’s by her own choice: ‘Don’t you come running, running back to me. Our story is over, soon you’ll see‘, she says in a chorus that will stick with you for days. She’s not heartbroken by this end, she’s taking control and getting out on her own terms.

“Don’t Come Running” is an absolute stand-out in every way possible. It’s fun, alluring, and an all-around perfect pop song about how sometimes things come to an end, and that’s okay. It’s not a power play, just a matter of fact. It’s a very interesting angle for a breakup song, especially one that sounds so good, with the production as intricate and delicate as this one.

“Don’t Come Running” is a much-appreciated slight shift in sound for Jade, blending her soul style and sound with new things that work very, very, very well. It’s an exciting new path for the artist and I cannot wait to get more from her.
