Proklaim is a rapper from Namibia, Windhoek, a country in Southwest Africa. He’s been a solo artist for 10 years now, and there’s no sign of him stopping. Inspired by rappers like Nas, Tupac, Jay Z, Biggie, Eminem, Drake, and Lauryn Hill, Proklaim’s lyrics and cadence are unique and come from the heart.
“Valley” comes with a mean 808 bass and a tight kick. The somber melodies help to create an ambient of introspection. Proklaim begins spitting bar with the utmost eloquence, tethering rhymes like the true professional that he is. You can even listen to some Kendrick Lamar vibes in the choruses, with melodic chants delivered by Proklaim himself.
