Cheree, 2Frontiers, Flatfoot Sam, and more great stuff for you to enjoy!

Welcome, my dear music lovers, thank you for being here, I hope you’re doing well, the album of the week this time around belongs to a debutant punk band called “Cheree” with their EP “Factory” a chaotic noise work, such a blast if you enjoy the genre and in that case, you should listen to immediately, and also take a deep listen to a couple of EP’s released today, the outstanding debut by 2Frontiers and Flatfoot Sam and his Tripfield sound.

Is fantastic to have here, in your supportive music blog LT1KF, I have for you an eclectic selection as usual, for starters a noise punk band that I love their aggressive sound, then a western/folk debut EP that I get hooked immediately and finally an old friend of this blog with his electronic mix that he calls tripfield (trip-hop and leftfield). I know you’ll find something that will blow your mind. Enjoy!!!

ALL ALBUMS/EPS SUBMITTED AND

DISCOVERED VIA MUSOSOUP

1.- An industrial-adjacent, smash-mouth, noise-rock band by the name of Cheree, hailing from Oakland, California, has recently unleashed their debut EP titled, “Factory,” last Friday (as of the time this is written) on March 24th upon our unsuspecting world. You can keep reading our review here.

2.- 2FrontiersDebut Album is the Wild West answer to Heilung and the Pagan Folk Scene. Gregory Mulkern (USA, Banjolectric) and Sjoerd van Raven (NL, Harmony Glen, Acting The Maggot,) two accomplished alt-folk musicians in their own right, created 2Frontiers as an Alt-Western passion project combining all the sounds and imagery of the Western Frontier with a distinctly modern and innovative core.

3.- Following the release of the single ‘Boathouse‘ last year, Flatty returns in 2023 with a five-track EP celebrating all things weird and TripField, entitled ‘Zeitgeist’. The artwork is another awesome synapse response from madenoise.com visually conjuring the TripField vibe to perfection.

4.- Delaware-based five-piece Pharsalia presents their debut EP ‘Things I Never Got To Say’. The EP takes listeners through a cinematic experience of conceptual lyrics with powerful instrumental amalgamations of alternative metal and quirky pop-punk guitar riffs. Along with their EP, the band has released their explorative single ‘Gravity Killer’ – an unforgettable passage of anthemic songwriting for fans of New Found Glory, Four Year Strong, The Word Alive, and Underoath.

5.- As outspoken, fearless, strong, and openly gay, Sarah von Reis is already a role model for young people. Addictive melodies, elegant productions, and a dose of Nordic melancholy are a common theme of the debut EP “Melancholia High Season”, tied together by her velvety vocals.

6.- Divorce Finance is the product of derealisation, hauntology, nostalgia, and frustration. Shaped by a punk hindsight along with the influence of DIY recording and old-time country music; Divorce Finance brings a sleazy, disturbed edge to a jukebox of Cold War flavoured Americana. Listen now their debut EP “Live from the Bunker

7.- yadzi’s debut EP, ‘Into Our Hands’, is a heart-pumping, rock-driven journey into some of the darker things in his life: struggles with self-worth, codependency, and attachment. His introspective, sometimes fragile lyrics are juxtaposed by gut-punching drums, deliciously distorted guitars, and nostalgic nods to 2000s emo/pop-punk – offering listeners a cathartic release of self-doubt and triumphant embrace of self-acceptance.

8.- “Letters to The Devil” is the first release of 2023 from multi-genre musician, Roscoe Nefdt / “FiveSidedDice” and is also the first release from FiveSidedDice that is launched and released from the United Kingdom and outside of South Africa.

9.- Originally formed in Los Angeles, California as a two-piece, made up of songwriter/bassist Jamil Kassimali and songwriter/vocalist Shannon Martinez, Velour Academy spent years perfecting their poppy punk sound on a series of demos before recording expanding to four members (adding drummer Matt Calderon and backup vocalist/keyboard player Itzel Palacios) Listen now to their newest album “CHISME“.
