What’s going on ladies and gentlemen, welcome back! It’s your boy MadZen and today we have a great, great new single that will leave you speechless. Asking a straightforward question, COUVO wants to know: why do we want what we want? Do we even know? This one goes deep!
It’s a straightforward question until you dig deeper. Alternating between Alex G-tinged intimacy and an anthemic 90s-Alt throwback vibe, Couvo turns a critical eye toward our desires that speaks both to the political and the personal, all over the badass chug of palm-muted power chords.
It was an absolute blast listening to this track. Its ’90s energy and wide elements really evoked a sense of nostalgia while also digging deep into the meaning behind my desires. Now, this is no therapy session, but “Why Do You Want” is a track that when you listen to it, answers back.
A great energetic performance from every instrument (driving bass, punchy drums, and crunchy guitars) make a perfect bed for COUVO’s outstanding vocal delivery. It is a delight from verse to chorus and makes you wonder why this guy isn’t bigger. With a little bit of luck, he will be! But either way, this track absolutely slams and it is something you don’t wanna miss.
