Released back in April, Frank Joshua’s “You Are All I Need” built an enigmatic visual of a heart brushed and bruised by everyday life, but keeping it going for love. The signature house meets singer-songwriter sound made the tale already pretty incredible, but Jon Kennedy’s trip-hop rendition of the song has brought out its shadowy mystifying side. This is Jon Kennedy’s remix of “You’re All I Need”.

Frank’s layered haunting vocals, speaking of love in the middle of uncertainty, meet with swelling string-like synths and a driving trip-hop rhythm. It gives voice to that slightly hesitating mind that often pauses to feel the surrounding atmosphere. There’s newfound determination driving the song on into the nocturnal velvety space that has gained a sense of luxury from the cello-sounding string strokes. Whatever the cause of hesitation, this atmosphere is now way too inviting to let the chance go past.

Originally released as an accompanying track along with the original song, Frank Joshua is now releasing the remix as a standalone single on August 11th. This magical trip-hop remix is definitely worth the spotlight as it’s doing what the best remixes are doing – giving the song a whole new life.
