LT1KF UBS ROUND-UP BRAND NEW GEMS FOR YOU WEEK 35

Hey, this is your round-up for #LT1KF, Unknown But Essentials! or UBS, and this time I have for you these five acts that you should check out right away!

Dom Malin’s “Fever” Released September 01st

Malin intrigues and allures you to his introspective landscapes by crafting music from the world around him. With sensual poetry, notes of nature, and tender vocals he explores the array of emotions on offer through genre-fluid melodies and dynamic instrumentation.

“The lyrics intricately unravel a tale of profound attraction and intense longing, casting a vivid portrayal of two souls entwined amidst a frosty winter’s night.”

LLC “Are You Out There” (feat Will Pugh of Cartel)

Lorenzo La Cava is back, he has been on the blog before and I love everything about this music, you can feel the energy he brings each single, is a solo act but he sounds like a whole band. In his own words:

“AYOT was written during my solo ventures traveling round the USA, Canada & Mexico. Moving from one place to another not knowing what lay ahead. Busking & performing from 1 to 100 strangers a night. Which is ideally what the song is about added with a little secret love interest longing for a new sense of home & (re)discovery.”

“I wrote this at a time in my life when negative people kept weighing me down. I was always a bit of
a pushover and let people walk upon me, and then something snapped one day. I thought ‘you
know what, I don’t need that in my life anymore’, and ‘Better Off’ was born. It’s simple.. life’s too
short, you don’t need toxic people in it!”

Smoke Spider “East Berlin” Released August 18th

The band has been on the blog before but this is their heaviest track to date and I just love it. The band members are Göran Florström (vocalist and lyricist) and Johan Granat (who takes care of all the rest). You can check the following songs reviewed previously on the blog: “Desolation“, “The Damage Is Done“, and “You’re Wearing Me Out“.

“East Berlin – is the song about a city that is no more? Or is it about an escaping woman? The interpretation is yours.”

Jeilani “The One” Released August 16th

Last but not least the Housto-based artist Jeilani only 19 years old is not asking anything from anyone, his talent is undeniable and I can’t wait to listen to what’s coming next, hopefully, we don’t have to wait much for that, meanwhile, just enjoy this gem now.

“I’m super proud of this song. Everything from the layering, and overall production (that I did myself!), the lyrics are my favorite though; despite it not taking me long to write it captures my emotions perfectly, as I just let everything flow naturally and had FUN!! I hope this is -the one- to gain traction from me!”
