Side Liner aka Nick Miamis is a producer and remix artist, who recently held a competition for songwriters offering their songs to be remixed. Frank Joshua was among the submissions with “If I”, a song from his 2021 album “Sense Life”, and that turned out to be a winner, a well-deserved one at that:
“I wanted to work with Frank’s song as it was the one that I knew would stretch me most and really challenge me in terms of my usual style.”

The result is an ethereal journey deep into the fog, driven by Frank Joshua’s soft, calming, and enchanting singing voice and lyrics of wisdom. While the original holds a warm spacious indie folk tone, Side Liner builds a much different and more distant sound. The guitar melody turns into a guiding light through the technical and strange places and we’re struck with the realization that no matter what the environment looks like, the emotions that drive, guide, and mislead us are still unique to us. It’s a welcome lesson presented through a beautifully done remix full of ear-pleasure goodness.
