One of our favorite sibling musical duos, Wild Fire, is returning with a brand new single titled “Bubble” – it sounds almost like a brand new direction for them and it’s oh so good. Leaving their pop-punk-inspired aesthetics aside from some of their previous tracks released, “Bubble” presents us with a lovely ballad infused with country pop at its finest.

Ever since forming officially in 2016, the sisters Kelli and Kayla Iutzwig have been exploring their pop rock to their maximum capacity, expanding upon their sound and arrangements in a very dynamic and organic way. “Bubble”, their latest, sounds like a new chapter on said journey. This time, the sisters made something that blends together their pop-rock soundscapes with gorgeous elements borrowed from the same country that comes from artists such as Carrie Underwood and, mostly, Taylor Swift.
This sounds almost like a full 180 transformation when we take “Bubble” and put it beside some of their other material, like the oh-so-fun “Just Friends“, but not even for one second it sounds out of place within their music. The country twang that the sisters explore on the new single fits their style and their voices beautifully as they sing heartfelt lyrics about wanting to leave their hometown because everything surrounding it is a reminder of a painful breakup. It’s incredibly relatable content, the emotions that the sisters evoke feel very real and human – and the production is simply gorgeous.
As the sisters are singing their hearts out in impeccable harmony, slide guitars are swirling around them, and strings come in subtly creating an atmosphere that sounds both hopeful and finite. It’s an overall stunning production that could easily fit in an album like Speak Now. The duo does a wonderful job of crafting an emotional journey and taking us along with them. Wild Fire has a lasting history of vulnerable songwriting and performances, and “Bubble” is the cherry on top of everything they’ve ever released so far.
