The Trusted have gone a long way since their first releases. Always careful to deliver professional sounding and heart-touching music, these guys are truly one of the best bands out there today. Original as they are, they don’t sound like nobody else but themselves, and this EP is their brilliant presentation of their talent.
“Lost Soul” comes with three previously released tracks: “Doomsday“, “Marrow“, and “Burning The Night“. Which all on their own are pretty great. But now, together with the two new songs, “Lost Soul” and “Give Me Your Devotion”, all five tracks work together seamlessly in a picture-perfect moment of musical magic.
“Lost Soul” serves as an anthem for those who feel like outsiders, yearning to reclaim their place in society amidst the overwhelming noise. Conversely, “Gimme Your Devotion” explores the dynamics of hero worship, narrated from the perspective of a powerful figure engaging with a devoted fan. It’s a poignant reflection on social power imbalances. To create an emotional journey, we have strategically woven these tracks in-between “Marrow,” “Doomsday,” and “Burning The Night.”

From start to finish, the EP truly feels as an emotional journey. From tender melodies to exciting rhythms, all perfectly executed and in sync. The production is top notch, and the vocals add that last dose of light to the already glimmering instrumentation. You could say that they sound like a younger U2, with a profound sense of love and hope.
From the introspective “Gimme Your Devotion” to the raw energy of “Doomsday,” and the emotional depth of “Marrow” to the experimental sound of “Burning The Night,” each song tells its own story.
The EP closes up with “Burning The Night”, the most beautiful track of the EP, with an energy that resounds deeply on the listener and feeds the soul with its inspirational choruses. Truly outstanding work by the southerners that really deserves a space on your playlists, and everyday life!
